Kick-off Event - Thursday, April 25
4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Oakshire Brewing, 207 Madison Ave

It’s time to get ready for the 2019 BCC! Come on by to sign-up, pick up your team captain kit, live music, food discounts, $2 off beverage, and have fun with fellow BCC’ers!

 
     
Smart Cycling Lunch and Learn - Wednesday, May 1
12:00 p.m. -1:00 p.m. at Claim 52 Kitchen, 1203 Willamette St.
Interactive classroom style presentation and discussion on using bike share and safe riding techniques. Lunch will be included for the first 20 people to register.
 
   
Smart Cycling Social Ride - Monday, May 6
5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Claim 52 Kitchen, 1203 Willamette St.
 
Short hands on presentations followed by a group ride to practice safe riding techniques through city streets. The ride will last approximately an hour. Following the ride, attendees are invited to network with other riders and enjoy one complimentary beverage after the ride.
 
 

Eugene Poker Walkabout - Monday, May 13
11:30 .m. - 1:30 p.m. LTD Next Stop Center, corner of 11th and Olive (1099 Olive St.)

Join us for the Eugene BCC Poker Walkabout! Pacific Cascade FCU is the “Big Dog” for this walk! The Poker Walkabout is open for two hours for you to grab some lunch, visit “stops” on the map, collect playing cards, and meet back at the Next Stop Center to turn in your best hand (5 cards). Best poker hand wins! Average time to complete the walk is 40 minutes. Must register at commutechallenge.org, click on the Poker Walkabout tab. Space is limited to first 125. (Registration opens April 2)
    * Top three poker hands win a prize!
    * Get a Ticket-To-Win-It and sign the BCC Banner.

 

Bike Day - Tuesday, May 14
Breakfast at the DeFazio -7:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.  
Enjoy a refreshing morning ride along the Willamette River path and stop at the DeFazio Bridge for some morning treats, refreshments, and more.
    * Sponsored by The City of Eugene.
    * Free bike safety checks.
    * Bring your coffee cup, get a Ticket-to-Win-it, and sign the BCC Banner.

 

BCC + PeaceHealth Rides Scavenger Hunt - Tuesday, May 14
4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. Kesey Square 10 E. Broadway, Eugene

Join us for a ride! Come explore Eugene with us on bike for our BCC Scavenger hunt! You will be provided clues to the different stops and receive some goodies along the way! Once you have completed the hunt, all participants will be entered to win great prizes thanks to Peachealth Rides! Click the link  to register. “Drive the Big Rig” Early Registration Winner!  Wednesday, May 15
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. , LTD Glenwood Campus (team only)
Team Captains, have you ever watched an LTD bus go by and thought - “Wow! I wish I could drive a big rig like that!”  Well now you can!  Just register your team by April 14 and be entered into a drawing to win! Bring your CEO and 10 of your teammates to ride along as you drive a bus through a course at the LTD Glenwood Center. BCC Transportation Trivia, Thursday, May 16
6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. - PublicHouse
The BCC team has partnered with PublicHouse and infamous Ty Conner to put on the very first BCC Transportation Trivia Night. Grab some teammates and head down to the PublicHouse from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. to compete against other BCC'ers to see which team knows the most about transportation, Springfield, and the Business Commute Challenge.
    * Top three teams win a prize!

Not Your Parent's Bike Day - Bike Demo, Friday, May 17
9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Campbell Community Center - 155 High St.
Recumbents? Tricycles? Hand cycles? Electric assist? Bike Share? Try all these at this bike demo. Try out our amazing fleet of bikes for people who can't or don't want to ride standard bike frames. Part of Campbell Bike Week.
 
National Bike to Work Day, Friday, May 17
Biking in Springfield 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Come join us on the River Path at Aspen & D St.
Enjoy some afternoon treat, bike tune-ups from Hutch's Springfield, prizes and see the Travel Lane County's mobile information site " Mike the Bike". enter ticket-to win-it, and sign the BCC Banner.
