2010 Overview & Award Winners

The 2010 Business Commute Challenge has doubled in both participation from businesses and individuals. Business teams face all kinds of challenges. Remember that this is a friendly competition, with all of us benefitting in many ways for our daily effort to leave our cars at home.

The 2010 Award Winners in our 3 categories are:

Small Business Teams (1-49 employees):

Pivot Architecture with all 25 employees participating, averaging 4.08 commutes per person.
Presentation Design Group with all 20 employees participating, averaging 3.75 commutes per person.
OMRI with all 18 employees participating, averaging 3.44 commutes per person.

Medium Business Teams (50-299 employees):

Lane Council of Governments with 48.5% of 161 employees participating, averaging 1.52 commutes per week.
City of Eugene: Information Services with 39.6% of 53 employees participating, averaging 1.64 commutes per week.
City of Eugene: Library with 38.4% of 125 employees participating, averaging 1.18 commutes per week.

Large Business Teams (300+ employees):

Enterprise with 15.7% of 300 employees participating, averaging .46 commutes per week.
Pentagon Federal Credit Union with 13.4% of 320 employees participating, averaging .35 commutes per week.
Symantec with 13.3% of 1,000 employees participating, averaging .29 commutes per week.

Then we have the champions, those businesses that had all of their employees participating this week.
