The Business Commute Challenge is about discovering new and fun ways to commute to work other than driving alone! Walk. Bike. Bus. Pool. Click.
It’s about the fun factor. It’s about getting healthier. It’s about driving less and saving more……and a chance to win some great prizes!
The Challenge is a fun and friendly week-long competition where local Eugene-Springfield employers and work-place teams join forces to turn the daily commute into a transportation adventure! The week-long event is an opportunity to try a new way2go and see if it works for you!
Last year, more than 2,151 local employees, representing 107 business teams took the Challenge. In just one week The BCC participants reduced single person car travel by 68,784 miles, saving 55,695 pounds of CO2, and saving approximately $13,241* at today’s gas prices! That’s money that goes back in their pockets and a healthier planet. How cool is that? Very Cool!
It’s time to think outside the car and team up with Point2point, Lane Transit District, the City of Springfield, and the City of Eugene for the 2013 Challenge.
Registration opens April 8.
